Volunteer Youth Leader

We are looking for enthusiastic people to join our team of volunteers to help us deliver youth sessions at the Junior DJ Project! The Junior DJ Project offers children aged 6-12 years a DJ based youth club on a Friday evening.

The suitable candidate must be at least 16+ years of age and be able to satisfy a DBS check. Experience working with children is preferable, but energy and enthusiasm is essential with a strong willingness to learn and provide the best service possible for our young members.

Day-to-day tasks would include

·       signing children in

·       Serving in the tuck shop

·       Setting and packing away equipment

·       Planning and running games and activities

·       Engaging with young people

What skills do I need?

Although our primary activity at the project is DJing, no experience or knowledge is necessary - We're sure our children would love to teach you a thing or two instead!

Our Junior DJ’s attend various community events, as well as hosting a handful of in-house fundraising events. We also organise an annual camping trip with a whole range of activities from high ropes to campfires.
