Volunteer E-Commerce Assistant

St Catherine's Hospice

Are you curious about vintage finds, designer gems, or quirky collectibles? Join our e-Commerce team at St Catherine’s Hospice and help transform donated treasures into vital funds for expert care. You will be based in the Crawley Superstore, Queensway. RH10 1EG. In this varied and rewarding role, you’ll help sort, clean, research, and photograph donated items, from retro gadgets to antique curiosities. You’ll assist in listing them on platforms like eBay and Vinted, responding to buyer queries, and keeping our online shop running smoothly. No experience? No problem! We’ll provide full training – all you need is a love of learning and an eye for detail. Every item you help sell supports people in our community when they need it most. If you enjoy research, creativity, and making a real impact, this is the perfect role for you.

What you will be doing:

  • Sorting and processing donated goods - including cleaning, preparing and photographing items for sale
  • Assisting with any research for specialist items, for example vintage, retro, electrical and designer items designer items.
  • Creating and managing listings of items for sale on our e-Commerce channels – eBay, ETSY and DEPOP.
  • Respond to queries and sales
  • Ensuring the e-Commerce area is always kept clean and tidy

What skills do I need?

The skills you need:

  • Passable IT skills
  • Good communication skills
  • Someone who enjoys being part of a team
  • E-bay experience as a buyer or seller would be helpful, but not essential. Training will be provided
  • Commitment to undertake any training required for the role including a mixture of face-to-face training and e-learning as required for the role
