Volunteer Administration and Email Inbox Manager

Radio Crawsham is a community-focused radio station serving Crawley, Horsham and the surrounding area. We are looking for a reliable and organised volunteer to help manage our general administration and station email inbox.

This is a fully remote position, as Radio Crawsham does not currently have permanent studio premises. The role can be carried out from home, with flexible hours arranged around your availability.

The volunteer will help ensure that emails and enquiries are dealt with efficiently, professionally and passed to the correct member of the team. You will play an important role in helping the station stay organised and maintain good communication with listeners, local organisations, volunteers, potential advertisers and community partners.

Main responsibilities

The role may include:

Regularly checking the station’s general email inbox
Responding to straightforward enquiries using agreed guidance
Forwarding messages to the appropriate team member
Keeping the inbox organised and ensuring important messages are not missed
Following up outstanding enquiries where required
Maintaining simple records of bookings, contacts and correspondence
Assisting with basic administrative tasks
Communicating professionally with members of the public and local organisations
Handling personal and confidential information responsibly

Is confident using email and basic online documents

Can manage information confidentially and responsibly
Is willing to work as part of a supportive volunteer team
Has an interest in community radio or supporting the local community

Previous administration or customer service experience would be helpful, but it is not essential. Guidance and support will be provided.
