Trustee / Treasurer

YAMHS are looking for a Trustee to take on general duties of a trustee but also have a focused role as Treasurer. 

The main duty of all charity trustees is to advance the purposes of their charity. This should always be a trustee's main focus. A charity's trustees must carry out its charity's purposes for public benefit. 

We are looking for someone to join the 3 existing trustees to help run the organisation and continue the work we do with Young People and their families. 

Its important to us that you are passionate about working with Young People and an advocating for mental health services. Knowledge in this area would be a benefit and lived experience would also support the position, however not essential. 

Will need to be flexible and happy to work and meet on an ad-hoc basis - we meet every 6 weeks and also have social events outside of these meetings. 

We are a very supportive and understanding group and this position is open to all who feel they have the needed experience or skills. 

What skills do I need?

• Willing to put time and effort into the charity and its causes (i.e. fundraising)
