Treasurer

Moonstones is a local community group supporting individuals and family units who have had to flee domestic abuse. We offer care packages , which comprise of the basis household items needed when being placed in temporary accommodation. 

Moonstones is looking for a Treasurer to support the chair, trustees and committee. 

A Treasurer plays a key role in all aspects of running a charity, including securing funding , managing finances , maintaining compliance , and delivering effective services. 

Things you may be involved in include: 

• Liaise with relevant staff , committee members or volunteers 
• Make fellow committee members aware of the financial reports (balance sheets , cash flow , fundraising bids / performance)
• Oversee the production of the annual budget 
• Ensure proper records are kept and financial procedures and controls are in place

What skills do I need?

• Knowledge and experience of fundraising practice relevant to community groups or voluntary sector organisations 
• Knowledge of book keeping and financial management 
• Good financial analysis skills 
• Good communicate clearly
