Social Media Volunteer for Community Garden

Crawley Growing Together is looking for a Social Media Volunteer to create and run their Facebook page. 

About 

Crawley Growing Together is a Community Garden where volunteers come together to maintain a greenspace in West Green Park to create an accessible green space near the town. The group meets weekly , and volunteers work on various tasks to bring the garden to a high standard. 

Role

We are looking for someone who is able to start a Facebook page , and continue posting weekly about our sessions with pictures and information. This can be done from anywhere and posts can be scheduled in advance if needed. Some research on plants , the local area and history of the garden may be required at times for some posts but no prior knowledge is needed. 

You would be welcome to join our session to capture pictures and join in but this is not neccessary for the role. 

This role will only take a few hours per month and you can decide how these hours are spread , for example you could volunteer for 4 hours per month scheduling posts for the whole month or you could spend 1 hour per week posting each weeks sessions as we go. 

You will be fully supported by Volunteer Manager , and volunteers will help with taking pictures and videos. Although you can do this role from anywhere , you would be welcome to volunteer from our offices. 

Please note we have set up instructions from a local marketing company which you would be able to use to start the page. 

What skills do I need?

• Knowledge of Facebook and other social media 
• Experience creating posts that will capture peoples attend 
• Knowledge or desire to learn about social media marketing

No previous work experience needed but willingness to learn. 

When do I need to be available?

Details

We are flexible with volunteer hours and when they are worked as long as the page has weekly or regular posts.
