The Oasis Baby Clothing and Equipment Store - volunteers wanted

Oasis Crisis Pregnancy Centre

The Baby Clothing and Equipment Store's purpose is to provide good quality baby clothing and equipment (for babies up to age 2) to families in need. All our clothing and equipment is supplied by generous donors who no longer need the items as their children have outgrown them. The current Store opening hours are every Thursday afternoon from 1.00 - 3.00 and it is staffed by volunteers who work on a rota basis in teams of 2, with volunteers serving approximately once a month.

We are initially looking to increase our volunteer team on a Thursday afternoon, with a longer term aim to open more often.  However, to do so would require more volunteers!

The main tasks are to welcome clients to the Store, to assist them in finding the items they are looking for, to sort through donations and to keep the Store tidy.  If you have some spare time and would like to help, we would love to hear from you.  Do email us on info@theoasis.org.uk

We are a Christian organisation and we welcome clients of all faiths and none. Volunteers at the Store are not required to be Christians but must be in sympathy with our Christian ethos.

We are looking to expand our current volunteer team for when our store is open on Thursday afternoons from 1.00 - 3.00. In the medium term we are looking to open more often but require more volunteers in order to do this. If you are unable to volunteer on a Thursday afternoon, but feel that you have availability to volunteer on other week days, mornings or afternoons, please do also get in touch.
