Here at Walk The Walk we recruit hundreds of Volunteers to make The MoonWalk a safe and enjoyable event; looking after the thousands of Walkers as they take to the streets of London overnight, giving them the encouragement they need to complete their epic challenge. Volunteers really do form the backbone of the Walk The Walk MoonWalk Team and we need your help – from Saturday evening, overnight and Sunday Morning. Not sure what might work for you, then read on! Our Saturday Evening Shift kicks off around 6pm through till midnight. A lovely but busy period when our Walkers and Volunteers arrive en masse. As the excitement builds, Volunteers support with litter picking, to registering baggage, to handing out Volunteer uniforms to working in the POP UP Shop selling our infamous Walk The Walk goodies. Throughout this shift, there is so much to get involved in! Working with us Overnight is where the challenge really gets going for our amazing Walkers! If you like the nightlife, route marshalling, or giving out water whilst surrounded by London’s famous landmarks, this could be for you! Our role start times vary between 8pm and Midnight, depending on your role, and last on average 8 hours. We also offer site-based roles situated within MoonWalk Arena at Clapham Common and in whatever role you choose, early finishes can of course be requested. Finally, the early morning team bounce into action to take the helm on Sunday Morning. Starting between 5-6am until Midday, Volunteers working the early shift gratefully bring a new sense of energy and enthusiasm. This truly is the most testing time for our Walkers and whatever team you join, your kind and motivating words could be all that is needed to get someone across the finish line! No experience is necessary. The Walk The Walk Volunteers Team is on hand to support you from the start. Volunteers receive Role Briefing documents, a Volunteers Handbook and have the opportunity to take part in a Virtual Volunteer Briefing session on the 12th May 2025 at 7pm. On the night, Volunteers receive an additional briefing from their role Team Leader, get a Volunteer t-shirt and cap, have transport provided to and from MoonWalk Arena in Clapham Common and have access to a range of free and delicious light refreshments. So, what are you waiting for? Join us for a truly remarkable experience at our fabulous MoonWalk London and helps us give cancer the push! We guarantee you won’t forget the night you Volunteered at The MoonWalk London 2025!
