Crawley Campaign Against Racism

CCAR was established in 1976 and has been an active community group ever since.  We want to see the group develop over the next 12 months to lead the drive against disinformation and actively support unity work across Crawley.   We need new members to help make this happen.

Our Aims: 

  • Combat racism in all its forms 
  • Celebrate our diverse community
  • Inform Crawley of the dangers of racism

We are looking for a volunteer to join our committee as a events organiser to help the group plan, organise and run events in Crawley.

The role includes:

·      Coming up with ideas for events and campaigns and helping plan and execute them

·      Network with supported and local people to ensure attendance

·        Coordinate events and logistics

·       Work as a team to collectively make decisions about the events and campaigns

·      Help recruit more volunteers for events and encourage people to spread the word on campaigns.

·      Assisting with co-ordination of supplies venues set up, ensuring everything is organised.

·      Connect with attendees, sponsors and interested groups to promote events, campaigns and the work of CCAR.

·     Build partnerships by contacting similar groups with shared interest and ethos

·     Attend other local events to promote the CCAR work.
