Moonstones
Moonstones is a local community group supporting individuals and family units who have had to flee domestic abuse. We offer care packages, which comprise of the basis household items needed when being placed in temporary accommodation.
Moonstones is looking for a Communications Volunteer to support their Chair, Trustees and the Committee and to promote the work they offer in Crawley.
As part of the role you will be required to create and schedule social media posts across platforms such as Instagram, Facebook and Twitter to advertise services, events and support that we offer.
You will also be asked to share and promote the posts of organisations we support and are supported by to create and strengthen partnerships.
You will also be asked to promote our service amongst groups, organisations and other businesses via email commutations or a newsletter to promote what we offer, who we help and how referrals can be made.
As part of the role you will also be asked to attend sessions on behalf of the charity, to have presence and network at sessions, events and forums to share the work of Moonstones and to connect with other groups in Crawley.
This role will involve some research or template creating to ensure for effective communications.
You will be required to attend meetings to find out about social media posts, aims and to be part of the organisations and understand the ethos.
Skills:
Knowledge of social media platforms and ability to create content on Canva or similar sites.
Good communication skills
Time keeping
Professional manner for communication with other stakeholders and organisations
Willing to try new skills and brand outside of typical communication to raise awareness of the services i.e., research alternative marketing solutions
