Car Park Assistant Volunteer - Nymans

National Trust

Nymans was the home of the Messel family. They bought a small estate in a wonderful setting on the High Weald of Sussex in the late Victorian period and over three generations turned it into a beautiful, relaxing, inspiring place for family and friends to enjoy.

At its heart is one of the most important 20th century gardens. The gardens surround a ‘gothic’ style house part of which is now a ruin. From the garden the land dips down through an arboretum and into beautiful woodlands.

Nymans is now owned by the National Trust and people can enjoy the estate in much the same way as the Messel family. Nymans is open 7 days a week all year round and there is a restaurant, shop, holiday cottage and a full programme of events

Our aim is to give every visitor a great day out. Car Park Assistants provide a helpful and friendly service to ensure an enjoyable, memorable and positive experience for each visitor especially when the property is very busy.
