Adhoc Photographer/Videographer Volunteer

Africa Community in Surrey and Sussex

About ACISS:

Our organisation is dedicated to educating, informing, connecting, and equipping African immigrants and people of African descent in Surrey and Sussex with the people and resources they need to foster a thriving community.

We believe that by fostering a sense of belonging and community, we can break down cultural divides and promote a harmonious and prosperous society for all.

Role Purpose:

We are looking for a creative and enthusiastic Volunteer Videographer to help capture and showcase the impact of ACISS events. Working on an ad hoc basis, you will film and photograph key moments throughout the day, including event set-up, activities, interviews with charity partners and attendees, and interactive sessions.

You will also edit and deliver engaging content for use across our social media channels, website, and e-newsletters. Your work will help bring our events to life, highlight the value of ACISS, and engage a wider audience.

This role is an excellent opportunity for students, aspiring videographers or photographers looking to build their portfolio and gain practical experience. You may use either a smartphone or professional camera equipment—please let us know what kit you will be bringing.

Key Responsibilities:

• Capture high-quality video footage and photographs at ACISS events.

• Record a variety of content, including event activities, interviews, and attendee engagement.

• Edit video and photo content to a suitable standard for digital and promotional use.

• Share completed content with ACISS staff in a timely manner.

• Ensure content reflects the organisation’s values and brand.

• Undertake other reasonable tasks related to the role as agreed with ACISS.

What skills do I need?

• Experience in videography, photography, or content creation.

• Confidence using video and photo editing software.

• Ability to work independently and capture content in a busy event environment.
